We can be sent into a mood by an unexpected event, from the happiness of seeing an old friend to the anger of discovering betrayal by a partner. But is there anything we can do, is there a way to interfere with our mood? What impact does it have on our actions?
The following idea is based on the principle, that the more we‘re aware of our subconciousness, the more we can have conscious control over it. People with a mood disorder such as borderline, depression and many more have difficulties to understand what is going on inside them. As a result of not-feeling their emotions, they sometimes harm themselves in order to feel.
The idea about this waredrobe is, that it shall display the mood a person is currently in. Several sensors are attached to detect the mood: A motion sensor to detect the persons‘ excitement and energy, cameras for their facial expression, and an audio sensor to identify the pitch of the voice. The results are than turned in an abstract equivalent, a color shining all over the cupboards front. Seeing the color reveals a part from within us. It makes us heedful about our feelings and our body – in order to be more aware and to be able to take better actions.
