When we take a photo we transfer a three dimensional situation into a two dimensional image. The idea is to transfer a picture into a haptic object again, which shows a new visual interpretation from the former photographed situation.
Therefore the picture is segmented into its different gray-scale values. The height of the relief-like object is based on the percentage of black, while dark parts are low and bright parts are high.
As colors, light and shadow influence the gray-scale a new three dimensional object which shows a different situation is created.
