Shades of News

by Elena Keller

News is something rough, imprecise. There is not such a thing as an objective view on things. Everything is rather subjective and documented from a certain perspective. In times of information overload, this problem becomes huge – media loses credibility. It needs to enter another level: Instead of hiding the fact that this particular news is only giving a partial insight on the topic, it should show it.

The shadow of an object can be seen as a metaphor for this Incorrectness. It can visualize a lot of data – according to its distortion, scale, darkness and blur. And can both be used as an installation or an image for each text oder piece of media.
